What is an HKAFO?
A Hip-Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthosis (HKAFO) is an advanced orthotic device designed to control motion and provide support across the hip, knee, ankle, and foot. As an extension of a KAFO, our HKAFOs integrate a hip joint mechanism connected to a pelvic band. For patients requiring additional postural support and trunk stability, our custom design can be further extended to include lumbar or thoracic spinal components.
